How we teach

You'll always know where a claim comes from

Fishing advice is full of opinion. We label every claim so you can tell the difference.

Research shows
Backed by published research from Australia or relevant overseas studies.
Our experience
What has worked for us on the water, said plainly as experience.
Angler opinion
Common views from the fishing community that haven't been tested.

Size limits, bag limits and closures come from Australian government sources only. Rules change, so always check the current rules for where you fish.

Who's behind it

Real anglers, not influencers

Project X Fishing was started by Nick Ball in Queensland. Nick has fished for sportfish all his life and has been an Australian distributor for several tackle brands. A small crew of experienced anglers helps with footage and know-how.
